your friends? Here is a really cool trick that you will want to keep
secret. Don’t show them how to do it.
You will need a deck of cards. Make sure the
deck is shuffled well. You can even shuffle a few times to ensure that
they are mixed up enough.
Next, turn the stack over and fan out the
cards for your audience to see. As you are flipping over the cards,
catch a quick sneak of the top three number, specifically the third
card. These would be the cards that are on the top of the deck when
they are all face down.
Once you have told your audience that the
third
card in the deck is your favorite number, you will then slide the stack
back together. Make sure when you work with the deck now that it is
face up.
You will start from the bottom of the deck
and try to find
three cards with that same number on it. For you to get a better idea,
we will use the three as an example.
You found that the number 3 was
the third card from the top and you told the audience that this number
was your favorite and luckiest. You will then search the first three
number 3s from the bottom as you fan through the deck.
Make sure that
you leave your original number 3 card in its original position. You
will only be taking out three cards with 3 on them and leaving the
fourth. As you find each card with a 3 on it, you will pull it out of
the deck and place it on the table.
Cool magic tricks are hard to come by, so
stay with me. You will then turn the deck over so that everything is
facing down again. You will have your three cards of 3 on the table
facing up.
You will then take the top card off the deck
and leave it face down. Place it on the table.
You will then put one of
the number three cards on top of the card you put face down. You will
do the same thing for the next card two cards you take from the deck.
Next, pick up your small pile of cards from
the table. Place them back into the deck (on top) in the same order and
face down.
To finish off this trick, you should say a
magic word as you turn over the top three cards. These should all be
number 3 cards. Now you can add to your collection of cool magic
tricks.
