Sometimes internet
magic e-books can be full
of fluffy material that you will never use on stage. Sometimes e-book
manuals don’t give you enough information to execute the
trick well and do it justice.
However, there is one e-book out there,
titled Master Mentalism
that contains a lot of helpful information,
along with the magic tricks revealed. As a
long-standing magician, this
e-book has given me some great ideas and tricks so I can be more
successful.
Master
Mentalism is a PDF e-book with 223
pages and is organized into six major sections: Mentalism, Mind Reading
and Psychological Illusions, Interviews with Criss Angel and David
Blaine, David Copperfield Secrets, Levitation Techniques, Card Tricks,
and Hypnosis.
The author, Ryan Even, covers each of these
sections
thoroughly and includes great insight. Most of the pages, however, are
dedicated to the first section of Mentalism.
In the e-book, you can find tricks for all
different levels, so this book is perfect for a wide audience. There
are some magic tricks that you can learn quickly, while there are
others that will take a couple of months to perfect.
The magic tricks
revealed in this book however, are ones that are better performed in
front of at least a small audience. If you are aiming to just perform
in front on an individual, this book wouldn’t help you out a
whole lot. If you are planning on doing some party gigs, then Master
Mentalism would be a great e-book for you.
My favorite section in the book is section
three, where David Copperfield’s magic tricks revealed come
to life. This section shows how many of his famous illusion acts are
performed.
This is probably the best location to find
so many of
Copperfield’s secrets. This section alone is worth the price
of the whole book. When you learn how the Statue of Liberty can
disappear, nothing beats that.
Some of the advantages to purchasing this
e-book include quality magic tricks, easy to understand, interesting
material, Copperfield secrets, and psychological secrets. It would have
been nice; however, if there were more pictures, more card tricks, and
more unique tricks.
Overall, Master
Mentalism is a great
purchase,
especially for beginners. When you are able to get your hands on many
magic tricks revealed, you will be able to pick up some great tricks to
learn and eventually perform.
